Myśląc z Josephem RatzingeremBarth, Grzegorz (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II, 2020)Czas jest podstawowym orzecznikiem egzystencji człowieka. Pytanie o czas jest nierozłącznie związane z pytaniem o Boga, a w konsekwencji o ludzką decyzję i wolę. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie znaczenia czasu w teologii, a także pokazanie momentów, w których to pytanie się pojawia. Inspiracją w tych poszukiwaniach jest myśl Josepha Ratzingera, który czas wiąże z rozumieniem wieczności, a także ludzkiej egzystencji. Podjęte zostaną cztery zagadnienia: 1. Znaczenie czasu w teologii w ogóle; 2. Główne wektory Ratzingera koncepcji czasu; 3. Związek czasu i wieczności; 4. Czasowość a wolność człowieka. Badania będą się opierały na źródłowych tekstach Ratzingera, ich analizie oraz próbie wydobycia linii przewodniej w jego rozumieniu czasu: relacja do wieczności, dialogiczna koncepcji nieśmiertelności, a także koncepcje exitus i reditus. Wynikiem badań jest wskazanie na ścisły związek czasu i wieczności, który realizuje się w Chrystusie i na Jego wzór w każdym człowieku.Pozycja Człowieczeństwo Boga w chrystologicznej interpretacji Karla BarthaBarth, Grzegorz (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2016)The article shows the key aspects of the Christological approach to Karl Barth’s teaching about “the humanity of God”. The author argues that in the mirror of Jesus Christ’s humanity the humanity of God included in Jesus’s divine nature is revealed. It is in Jesus Christ that kenosis and gloria, humanum and divinum meet in an amazing way; and in the negotiating space which is constituted by His Person they explain each other, speaking more sonorously with their own voice. Hence the point of departure for a reflection on the problem that is posed here, is looking closely at the formal basis of Barth’s theology. Jesus Christ’s central place – with respect to the contents, form and method – is considered to be one of its most important attributes. The author of Die Kirchliche Dogmatik starts his argument by discussing Jesus Christ’s pre-existence with the help of the doctrine of “the gracious election” that is a modified conception of his earlier Trinitarian theology. It says that God “from the beginning” is directed to man, suggesting a pro-human character of God’s being and acting. In the light of Barth’s doctrine Jesus Christ, as the second Person of the Trinity, is not only the object of election”, but He is also the electing subject. As the One Who Wants to complete the Father’s salutary work, he is the justification and guarantee of our salvation. Barth categorically pronounces himself in favor of the Christological paradigm of the Revelation saying that around history and the dialogue, in which God and a man meet and are together – around a mutually made and kept relation – there is the most complete opening and exchange. It happens in the Person, since Jesus Christ is in the only and in the highest degree: a true God’s man (Gott des Menschen) and a true Divine Man (Mensch Gottes). Via the mystery of Incarnation He is the hermeneutic structure of every being. W zasadniczej strukturze obejmuje on pięć dobrze znanych terminów: dzieciństwo, edukacja, filozofia, czas, myślenie, które domagają się ponownego przemyślenia, zarówno indywidualnie, jak i w ich wzajemnych powiązaniach. Każdy z tych terminów zostaje rozwinięty w toku refleksji. Kohan rozwija swoje poglądy na temat edukacji w dialogu z wieloma filozofami i wychowawcami. Poprzez szereg pytań Kohan problematyzuje pedagogiczną, polityczną wartość umieszczania praktyki filozoficznej w dziedzinie edukacji obywatelskiej w kontekście dzieciństwa. In the Old Testament, faith is the secure trust in God’s promise and leadership with relation to the people of Israel. True faith is demonstrated in the form of personal responses (Abraham, Moses, the Prophets). In the New Testament, faith is a concept for the relationship between God and human beings on the basis of God’s saving activity for, in and through Jesus Christ. Faith is the personal, fundamental option in which a human being, through grace and trusting in God’s power, specifically in Jesus Christ, responds in consensus with the Church with his confession of the saving event of revelation. In contrast to its the colloquial meanings (belief as suppose, be of the well-founded conviction, agree with an authority, trust in something based on probability) faith in its personal meaning is an absolute assent based on the inner certainty. The author refers to the phenomenological studies of M. Scheler , who distinguishes between faith (der Glaube, fides qua) and belief (das Glauber, fides quae). Faith is the orientation, attitude on the real existence in the sphere of the absolute – there is burdened with a value sense. In absolute value, which is God, can be answered in the form of faith absolute (full-person). Drawing on thinkers such as Paul Ricoeur, Martha C. Nussbaum, Richard Kearney, and Karl Rahner, the author presents hope not as emotional optimism or probabilistic expectation but as a form of rationality grounded in trust and imaginative engagement with the unknown. In response to global uncertainty and technological determinism, this article interprets Pope Francis’s Spes non confundit as a call to reclaim hope as an act of trust, not prediction. This article moves from a phenomenology of hope in uncertainty (Section 2), through its ontological and theological dimensions (Section 3), toward its transformative role in forgiveness and mercy (Section 4). Section 5 critiques the distortions of hope under materialism and nihilism, while Section 6 turns to the eschatological horizon, where hope finds fulfillment in divine justice and eternal life. The article’s conclusion presents Christian hope as a form of life and a “wisdom of uncertainty” ‒ an existential stance that neither escapes reality nor succumbs to it but transforms it through trust in God’s unseen promise. They both illustrate, but also realize God’s incomprehensible love for man – its realism and fact. They both also depict the divine-human dimension of salvation effected in the person of Christ. In this way the paradox of this love reaches its peak. Although they both express the same love, they are in a way beside each other, and they need each other so that the love could be expressed, be voiced. What happened on the cross is in a way complemented and consolidated in the image of the Heart. The core of this hermeneutics is: the act of Jesus’ Heart becomes clear in the cross, and the cross in the love of the Heart. At the same time in Jesus’ Heart – Jesus as the God and a man – the act of God’s love is joined in one thing, where human love is a reply to the priority of loving on the side of God; it is in it that it is fulfilled and verified. God’s love – the one that was crucified and wounded with the spear – only explains the significance of human love.Pozycja Miłość Boga w ujęciu J. The theme of God’s love, according to Ratzinger, is not to be reduced to one of the many theological issues to be discussed. Pope puts the love of God at the center of the Christian life as a principle and interpretative key. It is no coincidence that the first encyclical Deus caritas est, inaugurating his pontificate, begins with the words which are the profession of faith in the name of God who is Love. This agapetological feature of the Papal reflection sets the frame of his theology and points at the sphere where it reaches its essence and consummation. The subject of God’s love is discussed in two parts of the article: the first one consists of the analysis of the three terms: eros, agape and caritas, which are the three aspects of love. The philosophical and biblical analysis of these expressions made by Benedict XVI allows him to extract the essence of divine love. In the second part of the present article, the three moments reflecting the whole dynamics of love in the teaching of the Pope will be discussed: the source of love in the Triune God (1), the concretization and the fullest revelation of love in the person and work of Jesus Christ (2), and the relationship between the love of God and the love of man (3). Gadamer, K. Wojtyła and J. Tischner. First, the author tries to characterize different approaches to solidarity, its false and contradictory interpretations. In the next point, he shows the need for a reflective approach to solidarity in uncertain times. The reflective approach affects the resolution of the conflict of interpretation of the world, man, values. The ability to see the otherness and the distinctiveness of others in their respect as free personal subjects, as well as the basic readiness to give and receive, not only opens the way to values, but creates the conditions for learning solidarity. Granat’s personalistic philosophy discuses the existence of the person as a rational, free, and creative being. Thus it centres on unpredictability which ultimately transcends systematisation. It evades any enclosure in a philosophical or theological system; it cannot be made an instrument of any ideology: be that Marxist, with its postulate of utopian atheistic humanism, or post-modern, with its cognitive scepticism and axiological relativism. The person demands the truth about himself, therefore a reliable philosophical-theological reflection, such that takes into account all essential dimensions of its being. Making it the beginning, the method (way), the criterion, and the of scientific research will allow to unveil some part of the truth, and unveil a part of the mystery inherent in the person.
